Teaching virtually or in-person.
Christopher Francis (CF) Burke is a musician, teacher, songwriter and engineer/producer working professionally since 2001. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays piano/organ, guitar, bass, accordion, tuba and harmonica. Chris teaches piano and guitar/bass lessons privately out of Westchester County NY, both in-home and remotely from his home studio. His full-service studio offers recording, editing, mixing and producing anything from audition tapes to podcasts to full band productions.
Chris’ teaching process begins with identifying what will be the “hook” that excites the student, and will keep him/her motivated to put in the necessary work to maximize the rewards music can give. If the student is always working on something they find fun, it is much easier to teach the underlying nuts and bolts of music necessary for being a “complete” player.
By maintaining a flexible approach to styles, techniques, and methods, he aims to avoid the student “burning out”, and keeping a positive relationship with his/her instrument.
Chris offers lessons in piano, organ, guitar, bass, and voice either in person or using Zoom!
Check out Chris’ latest release, Halfway Ballet. The songs on this release are a split between acoustic pop and loud electronic rock. The EP is entirely performed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris.
